The Arts Council of Beaufort County (South Carolina) is sponsoring The Big Swim -- soon there will be many mermaids on display in the area. This is the chronicle of Miss Beaufort Mermaid, by Lee Perry and Charlene Perry-Dohmann.
She is dressed and bejeweled. We were watching Pretty Woman as we arranged her wildly toussled hairdo -- it resembles a snarl of fishing line! She's ready to hit the streets of Beaufort at the corner of Boundary and Carteret Streets, at the Visitor's Center. She hopes to see you there soon!

Sisters Lee Perry and Charlene Perry-Dohmann work jointly and independently on many artistic projects.
